The Key to Learning Online Craps
Online Craps, Stage I: The Come-Out Roll
The first roll of the dice is called the Come Out Roll. In craps three results can happen on the Come Out Roll.
- If you roll a 7 or 11, that's called a Natural. You win the Pass Line Bet, your winnings are automatically added to your online casino account, and you're ready to play again.
- If you roll a 2, 3, or 12, that's called Craps and you lose the Pass Line Bet. There's nothing to do but try again.
- If you roll anything else — a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, or 12 — you don't win or lose. The number you rolled is called your Point, and you move on to Stage 2 of your online craps game.
Online Craps, Stage II: Rolling for the Point
It's of interest to note that the rules of craps make 7 a winner on the Come Out Roll but a loser when you are rolling for the point. That's just one of the interesting aspects of this always fascinating online casino game.
Sometimes it is possible to roll the craps dice many times before you hit your Point or a 7. This is when the suspense really builds up, as you know that sooner or later you're going to have either a winning craps roll or a loser, but you don't know when. All you can do is keep rolling and hoping for the best.
More Online Craps Bets
There are others who believe that the best craps strategy is to learn the other craps bets, such as the Don't Pass Bet, Come Bets, Place Bets, and Field Bets, and to mix them up to keep things exciting.
The choice, of course, is up to you. It is definitely best to start with the Pass Line Bet, and then you can decide whether to stick with it or to branch out into the other craps bets.
