Online 3-card poker is a great way to play poker online. Because it involves smaller hands, and since there is no draw of additional cards, 3-card poker is simple, fast, and exciting. Online three-card poker actually consists of two games in one: "PairPlus" and "Ante and Play." On each hand, you can play one game or the other, or you can double your odds by playing both games at once.
Pair Plus is essentially a solitaire game. You receive three cards. If your hand contains a pair, you win. If your hand contains a straight, a flush, three of a kind, or a straight flush, you win even more. The dealer's cards have nothing to do with it.
In Ante and Play, you are playing poker against the dealer. Your cards are dealt face up, and the dealer's are face down. After examining your cards, you must either fold, which forfeits your bet, or play, which doubles your bet. If you choose to play, the dealer will turn his cards over, and you win if your hand beats the dealer's hand. The important thing is to know when to fold and when to play, in order to maximize your winnings and minimize your losses.
